“After 20 years of progressively heavier smoking, I realised my life was slipping by, and quite a lot of it was literally going up in smoke due to my nicotine addiction. So I bit the bullet and dropped the S$650 on the seminar with Pam Oei here in Singapore. That was 23 months ago. I couldn’t run 5km without stopping when I was smoking; a few months after I quit I ran my first ultra marathon of 50km. Within a year I was running a marathon in 3 hours 40 minutes, which is not bad for someone who smoked 40+ a day for the past ten years. My advice is simple: back yourself, believe you can do it because you can, and you will, and you’ll some day look back and wonder just one thing: Why didn’t I do it sooner?”
